FFXIV players stuff themselves with food to win a fat chocobo
Look, chocobos are the cutest, and everyone wants one. But in China, players were asked to go waaaaaay too far to get one as part of an Amazon cross-promo that tasked them with eating a “family-sized meal intended for four just to get one code” for the chicky. KFC jokes ensued.
This isn’t even the only weird thing FFXIV was party to this year. Remember the weird but kinda wholesome list on the game’s subreddit about the best daddy? This is a whole thing. There’s even a chart.
