World of Warcraft botches its third Battle for Azeroth PvP season

They were not prepared

“Oops” is not something you want to hear from your surgeon, your kids in another room, or your MMO development team. But an “oops” is what World of Warcraft fans got this past Tuesday, as Blizzard came out to admit that the third season of Battle for Azeroth’s PvP glitched out.

“Today, we experienced a bug that caused Season 3 to unexpectedly end for arenas and rated battlegrounds,” the studio said. “We’re investigating and working on fixes for this situation. We do not yet know how long this will take.”

So far, at least as of Thursday morning when we write this, Blizzard has not posted any additional updates on a potential fix and/or compensation for its players, just copypasta from the original bluename post. Understandably, the PvP community is not very happy at the moment.
