Thanks for the E-Hug! It’s been a brutal, surreal and angering right now here.

But back to the slightly less depressing subject of Daybreak, you’re probably right it’s desperation, but investing into PlanetSide Arena so heavily felt like it seemed obvious from the mile off it wasn’t going to work, even if Apex Legends never came along.

As for Bless, I hope the Xbox (and perhaps later other system version) at least does okay, watching it it seems the team does care about it.

Speaking of Xbox and emulations, Xbox has apps related to the Microsoft Store on PC where developers could build a single app to work across PC, Xbox and Windows Mobile. That once included a full on Nintendo 64 emulator where you could play emulated Nintendo games on the Xbox One, you’d download the ROM files through the OneDrive app on the console.
Once it was picked up by gaming sites Microsoft took it down, but it was pretty funny that it was possible and still technically is if someone can sneak the app through.

And there is the “Creators Collection” section of the Xbox Store which is basically a ‘hidden’-away section of user submitted games without any real authorisation, you won’t stumble upon it unless you enter it willingly and in there it’s mostly random mobile junk.
But I suppose, if you were very skilled and lucky, you could published an emulated City of Heroes version in there to play. Only problem is once Microsoft finds out (which would be pretty quick as it would get reported on asap) they’d take it down for copyright concerns. But hey, it’s ‘technically’ possible to do it until caught lol.

I can relate to Justin talk about when playing a single-player game thinking about the progress you could be making in a live game. I think it’s probably one of the more unfortunate things that playing MMOs over the years has done to me, its harder for me to enjoy a single-player game because of FOMO, unoptimal use of time, or that the time put into a single-player game doesn’t really matter, while it does in an MMO/Live Service game.

I know, in the end, time spent in a single-player game is no more time wasted than time in an MMO and really the permanence of an MMO is fleeting as well, especially as a solo/pug focused player, games close down, or you might just lose interest and quit, but it’s hard for me to shake.

General frustration with CU – Deserved!

Testing with Backers begins hopefully tomorrow (just got a number signed up and through the intro talk) but if not tomorrow, Weds. We just did a major merge of codebases late today, in order to move to Linux, so hopefully we’ll be good to go tomorrow.

Needling me? – Deserved and have at it! I love a good bit of snark/joke at our expense.

TTFN!

Hehe, yeah, it’s been a long week already with Lady J, Mike, and I fighting off a cold thing (Lady J is losing, M and I are holding our own) and it’s only Friday! :)

Today really felt like a Monday. So, I’ll restate and say, if not tomorrow, Thursday.

And nah, I get plenty of coffee but thanks. I may need that by the end of the month though, it’s possible I’ll drain our local Starbucks dry.

Ug I am only just getting over the round of colds I had in early December. Justin was like, Bree I can hear you breathing in the recording, and I’m like, I’m sorry, at least I turned it off for coughing. Hope y’all feel better!

Bree,

Yeah, right now I’m fighting it off but Mike is down for the count. :(

Hopefully Lady J will feel better in a day or two.

Funny Justin mentioned playing a single player rpg makes him long to play ESO. For the longest time I went the other way and any time I played ESO I bounced off it as it made me long to play my fully modded Skyrim.

Now while I could play Skyrim I don’t think it will be the same as I couldn’t play it with all the mods I am used to. Some are available on PS4 but not all.

So this has made me concentrate more on what ESO offers. You know what? ESO is actually quite good, the stories are way more interesting and fun than I ever recall them being, at least with the newer content.

Its been fun and the upcoming content announcement is also fuelling my excitement to play for sure.

Maplestory have many events, i’ll send some tips for the game, it is fun game with ton of content, grindy i admit but i love the grind in this game.

About Ncsoft copyright thing, when i read the news i thought things going to happen, as in good things, people should just wait and see before the endless commenting.

And i’m at last a patreon, sorry it took me so long, banking system in my country meant i can’t use my own card for years, when i buy stuff from internet i use my brother’s card, and i never subscribe to anything using his card, also i whitelisted MOP in my adblock :-)

Thank you for supporting! <3

I do get why people are skeptical about CoH. They got lied to for years, even if the reason for the lies wasn't malicious. But some of the skepticism goes over into tinfoil territory, and with NCsoft... well there's a lot of grudges clouding people's view of what's actually happening. I don't want to be patient either!
