A new comedy series is coming to Apple TV+ subscribers that might interest MMORPG fans and fans of the comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The aforementioned show’s creator, Rob McElhenney, is taking the starring role in the comedy Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet, a show about an MMO developer and the creation of its new game.

Here’s the setup from the Apple TV site:

“Meet the team behind the biggest multiplayer video game of all time. But in a workplace focused on building worlds, molding heroes, and creating legends, the most hard-fought battles don’t occur in the game — they happen in the office.”

The show stars McElhenney as arrogant studio head Ian Grimm along with other names like Academy Award-winner F. Murray Abraham, Danny Pudi, Imani Hakim, Charlotte Nicadao, David Hornsby, Ashly Burch, and Jessie Ennis. Production credits include several names from It’s Always Sunny and Modern Family as well as Ubisoft’s Gérard Guillemot. We can probably expect a similar sort of mockumentary vibe from shows like Modern Family and It’s Always Sunny.

Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet is set to premiere on Apple TV on Friday, February 7th. The new trailer is available below.
