2019 was a huge, huge year for MMORPGs. I’m mainly talking about how both Dungeons and Dragons Online and Guild Wars 2 got capes for the first time and how World of Warcraft saw its initial invasion of backpacks. Big, heady times for all games involved.

While we contemplate this New Age of Peace and Prosperity that has arrived, it’s time to dredge up the old debate over what looks better riding on your back. What do you prefer to wear on your back in your games: backpacks, capes, nothing, or something else entirely? Quickly, now, the fate of this New Age will be decided by our comments!

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
