I don’t know if this is true or not, but there used to be a rumor being passed around that some of the main developers played Rangers, so they didn’t suffer the same nerfs and things other classes did sometimes. They said because of being favored and played by the devs that the class remained the most powerful.

Again I’ve no idea if that is true or not, I just remember back when I was dabbling in the game reading that kind of stuff :D

Ranger was my first…way back when. Got her to 75 and then got repeatedly respecced so I shelved her.

That’s what kills me about the game. I go on breaks a lot and return to games later. It felt like every time I would go on a break and return to Path of Exile there would be a forced respec and I had to go through figuring out where to spend points across this huge board again. It’s fine that they want to tweak stuff but that was a huge pain and irritation to do again and again.

Figuring out where you want to put the points the first time is difficult enough, once you actually get that locked in, to come back and have to put all those points in again over many multiple times (*and* have stuff moved around and changed up so you have to research it all again) was such a pain.

Maybe to people who play it on a regular basis, it doesn’t feel like it happens that often (though maybe it does, I don’t know how they feel). To those of us who play and go away a while and return, it seemed like we had to respec every time we got back. The higher your level, the worse it is.
