The Daily Grind: Are there MMOs you can’t admit you’re not playing any more?

It's a tiny little sprout thing. It might kill you.

I’m still playing Final Fantasy XI! No, really, I am. Sure, I haven’t logged into the game in… well… months, at least. Maybe a year. But I’m still playing it! I insist that I’m still playing it despite all the evidence to the contrary, including the fact that after swapping to a new computer last year I still don’t have it reinstalled. But my subscription is still running, so… when I have some time, really, I’ll… er…

All right, so we all know that I’m an idiot, but I can’t be the only person who is in a place of being unwilling to admit that this game is no longer in my rotation. It usually involves a game you dearly love, one that you realize you just don’t have time to play but also one you don’t want to… admit you lack the time for. So are there MMOs you can’t admit you’re not playing any more? Or are you better about being honest with yourself?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
