Same hat.

It would seem that the latest update to Destiny 2 had some tasty veins of data to mine. Dataminers of the multiplayer shooter who frequent the RaidSecrets Discord have come up with a hint that the Trials of Osiris PvP mode is making a comeback.

The reveal was found inside the data for a quest called the “Empyrean Foundation.” What happens in this quest isn’t exactly available, but an in-game message reads “with the restoration of the Lighthouse complete, Trials of Osiris and more will return in Season of the Worthy.” Readers will recall that the Empyrean Foundation was referenced in the game’s Season 9 calendar, so reason would stand that rebuilding the Lighthouse will be part of that quest’s effort. In any case, players will get to find out for certain come February 4th.

For those who need a refresher, the Trials of Osiris was a PvP mode that was first introduced in the original Destiny as part of the House of Wolves expansion. It didn’t arrive in a perfect state, however, as the mode had been reportedly beleaguered by cheaters and some major bugs. Ideally, this return of the Trials of Osiris will be with less of these wrinkles.
