Player-run MMORPG Neocron has patched in new housing and visual updates

I’m not going to lie, hearing about triple the experience points being disabled in the most recent patch notes for the cyberpunk MMO Neocron doesn’t exactly fill me with glee. Still, I suppose it had to be done, and there were a variety of other improvements and fixes as well. The community giveth and it taketh away.

Among those improvements are updates to Credits and the Extro Screen, a new apartment complex in the Pepper Park Sectors, Altered Loot to the Baneful Spidercave, and a couple of fixes to dummy scripts and German translations. There are some visual updates in this patch as well like higher resolution spiderwebs (oh joy), new pathfinding decals, a new apartment complex map, and higher resolution textures to all ground vehicles. There’s a couple of other details in the patch notes for you to peruse at your leisure.

As we’ve previously covered at length, this version of Neocron is run by a player-led dev team and was given the full blessing of its original studio – along with the game’s code and server database – way back in 2012.
