Debate rages over a Fortnite streamer landing out-of-bounds in a charity tournament

Side note: This is dumb

Thanks, I hate it.

There’s a bit of a row happening in the Fortnite community about whether or not a streamer cheated in a charity tournament last Thursday. Except it isn’t about that, not really; it’s an accepted fact that streamer Nicholas Amyoony and NFL player David Morgan (part of a team for the 15-team charity tournament) landed outside of the accepted area in the tournament. It’s even audible as they discuss it. What’s under debate is how wrong this particular action was in the context of a charity tournament.

On the one hand, you have players arguing that while the rules were broken, it was at a point when it was clear the ensuing warning wouldn’t disqualify the team, and as such it was a smart play that was outside the box. On the other hand, players are arguing that it was still against the rules, and that’s what’s most important. So it’s really down to what each individual player is willing to accept as the right kind or amount of cheating. Keep in mind that this also did involve winning money for charity, not personal gain.
