Do you want to explain to me why the dog is covered in cement, son? You know, the hound? The domesticated wolf? The puppy? The canine? The barking pet? The fleabag? The mutt? The borker? The doggo? Covered in cement? The wet rock? The hard coater? The sidewalk maker? The quicker stone-crack sealer-upper? The gray sleep? The What Are You Playing?

Bonus question: What’s your favorite movie about an animal or animals, not counting stuff with anthropomorphized animals? (So the old Disney version of Robin Hood would not count, but The Jungle Book would.)

Andy McAdams: I have no idea for this weekend. Probably some Final Fantasy XIV and maybe some Switch Stardew Valley. Uhhh, other than that, no clue?

Bonus Question: I don’t know if it counts, but I’m going to go with Slither because it was amazing. Who doesn’t love good horror/comedy with Nathan Fillion? [Totally counts. -Ed.]

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): Probably Star Wars Galaxies Legends for me this weekend – they broke 1800 concurrent on the server last weekend! – but I might patch up City of Heroes in prep for the new powersets being tested.

Literally the first animal movie that pops to mind is Charlotte’s Web, the 2006 one.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): A dash of Final Fantasy XIV and some Star Trek Online will make up my online gaming over the weekend. I’ve also got some games to review, so that’ll fill out the rest of my time with video games, probably.

It’s been years since I’ve watched The Incredible Journey, but I loved that movie when I was younger. I also eternally have a soft spot for Milo & Otis.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): Right now I have a comfortable see-saw going between Neverwinter and Lord of the Rings Online, and I don’t see this weekend changing any of that. Over in non-MMO land, I’m in the early hours of Divinity: Original Sin 2 and the late hours of Chrono Trigger. I’m so very much a geek.

Mia DeSanzo (@neschria): I am playing Black Desert Online and No Man’s Sky. I am drawing people into BDO while it is free, and I might actually start advertising my guild. I started a new save in NMS to see all the new stuff from the ground up, and it is going surprisingly well. Not sure what I am supposed to do with all these Feline Livers though. I might stream some permadeath sessions this weekend too.

Lake Placid might be my favorite animal movie. Or maybe Deep Blue Sea. I am not saying they are good movies, but I do enjoy them.

Samon Kashani (@thesamkash): Guild Wars 2 and Shadow Arena are my go to games this weekend. I just barely logged into the Shadow Arena last night before I had to call out quits so I’m really hoping to get some good game time in. Noobs owning noobs, let’s go!

I’m going to vote Homeward Bound straight off the dome. It’s kind of a ridiculous movie but who doesn’t love cats and dogs living together – mass hysteria!

Tyler Edwards: All-in on Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem at the moment. Took me a while to settle on a build (too many fun options), but now that I have I’m really enjoying it.

Bonus question: I’m honestly not sure I could even name a movie about an animal.

Pierre, patron: This weekend will be very similar to the last one with my The Last of Us playthrough still ongoing. I didn’t have any time to play this week as I’m still very busy at work, so I have to do better this weekend and play at least a little. The Elder Scrolls Online is also a possible choice, if there’s some time left.

Bonus question: my favorite movie about animals is probably Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey, and a second favorite in a slightly different tone is Dr. Dolittle; it’s so funny. I don’t know if fishes count as animals, but if so, Finding Nemo is probably my favorite animated movie. Dory, the blue fish with short memory, will always make me laugh and is so endearing at the same time, probably my favorite movie character ever.
