Black Desert’s ominous O’dylitta update is launching ‘later this year’

Remember back at E3 and Heidel Ball last year, when in the midst of the hoopla around Black Desert’s Shai and Great Expedition expansion Pearl Abyss mentioned that the O’dyllita region and content had been postponed? Of course not; that was ages ago. But our search engine remembers, and guess what? It’s baaaaaaack. Today, PA and Kakao dropped a bushel of info about the spooky-ooky O’dyllita expansion.

“As appropriate for its dark reputation, O’dylitta has the most difficult areas currently in the game and as such will mark a true challenge for any adventurers that journey there. From the barren and rocky valleys inhabited by the downtrodden Olluns to the ruins of an ancient kingdom overrun by vicious Ahib in the dark forest of O’dylitta, this land is unforgiving but can yield immense rewards. Intrepid players will be rewarded for braving the dangers of O’dylitta with the possibility of forging and collecting a new, marquee armor set; the Blackstar armor. By collecting materials in the various areas of O’dylitta players can start working on the long but rewarding journey towards completing and improving this new armor set that will surely make them the envy of many an adventurer.”

Yes, the content will be free for all players of the game. (You got your free copy last weekend, right?) The MMO is currently in the midst of its fourth anniversary festivities, complete with a Dark Rift minigame with sweet rewards on the official PC website. I for one am looking forward to seeing all the ways we MMO players can misspell O’dylitta!
