The Daily Grind: Are you a Jumpy McJumperson in MMOs?

Ah... huh.

When you were young, you found your purpose with the spacebar of your computer keyboard. Suddenly, your characters were slipping the surly bonds of gravity to propel themselves sky-high in beautiful leaps of wonder. This power, this… rush of majestic jumping became your sole purpose in any MMO that you encountered. After all, those hops communicated so much: Your eagerness to progress, your happiness at the state of the world around you, and that you may have missed a dose of your medication that day.

Jumping. We all do it. But some of us do it, like, a lot. Are you all about leaping like a gazelle in MMOs, and if so, why do you do it? Are you still carrying forth the theory that hopping confuses raid bosses and decreases their damage output, or is it just to relieve stress, like popping bubble wrap?

As an extra question, which MMO offers the most satisfying jumping experience?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
