Sea of Thieves delays its Heart of Fire update

Today was meant to be update release day for Sea of Thieves, but instead it’s update release delay day, which is a far less celebratory occasion. An issue with the update discovered by the game’s Insiders testing group has seen the update pushed back to a time yet to be determined. Players should expect a new launch date at some point later today.

For those who aren’t aware, Heart of Fire was meant to be the next Tall Tale story quest in Sea of Thieves which promised a number of fiendish new traps for players to traverse, along with the chainshot cannon ammo that was previously featured, as well as a throwable Blunderbomb explosive weapon.

Fans should keep an eye on Sea of Thieves’ social media for updates, but just in case you missed it, there was another news bulletin video that talked about these features last week, which we’ve embedded below.
