Marvel Future Fight adds in crossover content from House of X/Powers of X

So, are they fighting the future, or...

Let’s be honest, if you are not already familiar with the House of X/Powers of X storyline in the various X-Men books, there is little to no chance that Marvel Future Fight is going to fill you in on the relevant details. It’s a storyline involving an openly mutant government on Krakoa, the Living Island, which also involves more cooperation with Magneto and Professor X and… yeah, you should probably just enjoy the fact that it adds new costumes for Magneto, Wolverine, and Jean Grey while rolling out Mister Sinister, Mystique, and Professor X as playable characters.

The game is also rolling out the new Squad Battle feature with this update, with players asked to form themed teams of superheroes to compete against other players with an evolving ranking board. Add in some improvements to the S.H.I.E.L.D. academy mission and you’ve got a full update worth of content, although you may be wholly baffled by the storyline going on in the background.

I still dabble in this game, Eliot, but y’know what?

(“What?,” sez Eliot)

I can’t beat the final battle with Modok at the end of the tutorial mission sequence — where you play a team of Captain America, Iron Man, and the Black Widow.

I even went on YouTube and looked up strategies for how to defeat Modok (there is indeed a bit of a trick to the battle), but even though I now know what I’m supposed to do, I can’t seem to replicate the strategy successfully.

So, alas, I am a Marvel Future Fight

I guess I’ll have to wait until Netmarble releases that upcoming Marvel Heroes-wannabe game that MOP recently previewed — maybe in that game, I will be a little more competent! Hahaha! :-)
