Feeling a little disconnected from the world right now? You’re not alone, and multiple MMO communities are coming together to try to fix that. One such community is found among the Star Wars Galaxies rogue servers, as SWG Legends has just announced a multi-emulator project to connect players in a galaxy far, far away.

“When you examine Star Wars Galaxies, it’s always been about community, built on it as a fundamental element of the games many complicated systems,” the SWGL team writes. “Since many of us will be spending a lot more time indoors, we need your help with an upcoming community wide project. This isn’t a normal project. We’ve mustered the support from various other SWG emulations projects. Several bloggers and websites want to highlight this community movement and it would be great if you could be part of it.”

So here’s what players are being asked to do:

“We simply want each of you to record a 10-25 second long video clip of you saying which SWG project you play within, your character name and sending a positive message throughout the wider SWG community, maybe tell us whereabouts in the world you are located. These clips will then be collated and edited, then sent to individual projects involved to share with their respective online communities. Please share the word of this to your friends!”

Clips should be sent to swglegends5@gmail.com by the end of March for inclusion. We’re looking forward to seeing the video! The diversity of Star Wars’ fans has always been one of its strengths, and we expect no less from SWG.
