Remember those previewed changes for PlanetSide 2 from its weekend test server? That was just a couple of days ago, but they were planned for this week, and now they’re here. That means terrain changes, battlefield flow changes, more cover in previously wide-open areas, build cost changes, and so forth. If you can’t remember all of the specific changes off the top of your head, don’t worry; they’re all contained in the game’s patch notes for the update.
Downtime for the patch will be lasting a little longer for the Emerald server, though; the east coast server is getting some hardware upgrades while the servers are down for the update anyhow, so that server is expected to take an extra two hours to come back online. Once it does, though, it will be with better hardware, and it’ll have the same patched mechanics as every other server. Let’s call that a win, yes?
