DC Universe Online brings out a Birds of Prey episode on April 16

Probably without the album that slaps, too.

If you haven’t already seen the movie Birds of Prey, you can actually get that on streaming right now. That’s cool. It also means that you have a chance to catch the inspiration for DC Universe Online’s upcoming story starring the Birds of Prey, as that’s hitting on April 16th. The advantage to having a licensed tie-in property like that is that a new movie means fertile ground for new content when everyone is thinking about these groups, after all.

Of course, it’s not quite the same; the game’s lineup for the eponymous Birds of Prey is Harley Quinn, Black Canary, Huntress, Poison Ivy, and Oracle. (Apparently Cassandra Cain and Renee Montoya were busy, and Harley just didn’t want to be in a group without her girlfriend.) Also, the group is taking on an unhinged Lex Luthor instead of Black Mask. But hey, the fun part is to work with the group as a hero or a villain, so why not lean in on that part when the update arrives in a couple weeks?

I want to like this game, I really do. It’s DC, which I like and tons of content constantly being put in. But the awful combat and graphics just make me turn it off after a few hours of play and never log back in.

Checked out the video of the game. Characters, environment look atrocious – even for a mobile game. I guess this is the sunset of PC/MMORPG gaming.

If it’s the sunset of PC/MMORPG gaming, then that sunset has been going on for over 9 years.

DCUO released in January 2011.

You did know that before posting, right?

DCUO is EXTREMELY old. REALLY old.

How you managed to take a niche MMO from a failing company as “the sunset of PC/MMORPG gaming”, i’ll never know.

lol the games 9 years old . If you think this looks bad check out Everquest or Meridian 59 both of those are 10 + years older and still around .

That is a long sunset even on Jupiter .

The PC version only got a graphical update when the PS4 came out. And still has only 3 faces.
