If you haven’t already seen the movie Birds of Prey, you can actually get that on streaming right now. That’s cool. It also means that you have a chance to catch the inspiration for DC Universe Online’s upcoming story starring the Birds of Prey, as that’s hitting on April 16th. The advantage to having a licensed tie-in property like that is that a new movie means fertile ground for new content when everyone is thinking about these groups, after all.
Of course, it’s not quite the same; the game’s lineup for the eponymous Birds of Prey is Harley Quinn, Black Canary, Huntress, Poison Ivy, and Oracle. (Apparently Cassandra Cain and Renee Montoya were busy, and Harley just didn’t want to be in a group without her girlfriend.) Also, the group is taking on an unhinged Lex Luthor instead of Black Mask. But hey, the fun part is to work with the group as a hero or a villain, so why not lean in on that part when the update arrives in a couple weeks?Source: Dimensional Ink press release
