Champions Online aims to judge your backside in ‘reverse’ costume contest

The worry of whether some pants make your butt look too big will be a semi-legitimate concern with Champions Online’s next costume contest owing to the fact that your backside will be judged. Which will either be a source of amusement or a source of anxiety, depending on how you feel about things.

On Thursday, April 2nd, Champions Online will be holding a “reverse” costume contest where the only thing that’s being judged is the back of your character. There will be three winners and five runners-up that will win prizes like a Gold Foil Costume Series A voucher, a Purple Foil Costume Box voucher, a Contest Special Item voucher, two Dev Tokens, and a unique title. 10 honorable mentions will also be selected and receive the gold and purple vouchers and two Dev Tokens.

Entrants who are interested in showing up for this spin on costume contests are asked to line up at the Powerhouse Theater at 6:30 p.m. EDT, or you can tune in to the game’s Twitch channel starting at 7:00 p.m. EDT to get your eyes full of superheroic tuchus.

So… live events in Champs. Huh.

They need to be doing more than this crap to get people interested again.

They need to get Sir Mix-a-Lot as a judge.

I’m honestly starting to get irritated with these scraps they give us like they’re doing something with this game.

On one hand, it’s at least something new(ish) for an otherwise maintenance-mode game. On the other hand, it’s like they’re trying to string whatever fanbase along with scraps while trying to wring as much money as they can out of it.

Basically. I want a reason to go back to CO, because it has great potential. I don’t want these halfassed moves that show only how little they care.

The #DatAngle hashtag was a long-running in-joke from the pictures I used to take at TSW radio shows. It kinda spread from there.
