Impending.

A big chunk of Final Fantasy XIV gameplay involves re-fighting familiar content. If you play the game, you know that. The final documentary about the creation of Shadowbringers notes that one of the main goals is to design this content so that it’s not always the same even on repeated fights, such as the three different battlefield mechanics you can wind up facing on the second boss in the Copied Factory raid. If you’d like to finish out the series with a look at how the game’s fight mechanics work, check out the full documentary below.

For those of you looking forward to more content and the upcoming addition relic weapons (and similar systems for crafters and gatherers), you’ll be happy to know that patch 5.25 is scheduled for release on April 7th, in less than a week. There’s more previewed content available now on the patch 5.2 site, as well as an upcoming added season of the Feast kicking off on the 7th.

I am looking forward to 5.25 :P Next week I will also get my 490 weapon from Eden, but now that there will be relics too, I need to re-decide on which job to get the eden weapon :P

Thankfully we have FFXIV now that we are in quarantine and the content is keep coming faster and faster.

That patch trailer showed off content featuring some weird-looking broken up land and Cid, along with the ability to magically summon the Scions alongside him. Still haven’t seen that in the game yet, so wondering if that’ll actually be in 5.25 or what. Teaser site seems to imply that the relic stuff is mostly over in Doma, so unless they add in a second part to the MSQ in 5.25 or something I wonder what that stuff with Cid is about.

Bozja – the place the Relic quests are happening – is where Cid’s dad worked before a Dalamud flare vaporized the Citadel, so he’s at least tangentially connected to it.
