I don’t know about any of you, but I never got the impression that the world of Valnir Rok is a particularly warm and snuggly place, but a presser from the devs suggests that big changes are on the way in the next three months.

“Big things are happening in Valnir Rok – over the coming months the game will undergo many changes, go darker, more violent – it will not be a safe place to live. Can you stop this apocalypse from happening in the formerly so peaceful land with its green pastures?”

Vague promises of darkity dark dangerous danger aside, the survival sandbox has been focusing less on making new content updates and more on fixing what’s in-game now. A recent patch has added performance improvements, PvP and PvE explanations to the server list, a number of graphical updates, and several gameplay updates such as XP adjustments for a Kraken kill, temporary removal of horse traders, and building repair cost changes among others. All of the salient information is in the latest set of patch notes.

The press release also promises that Valnir Rok will soon be slashing its price on Steam by 50% this coming Monday, April 6th. So, in synopsis, there are changes afoot for the digital land of the Vikings.
