The battle of which fruit will be added to chill life sim RPG Stardew Valley has been decided. On Tuesday, solo developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone posted a poll asking players what sort of fruit tree they’d like to see in the game, and by a narrow margin, the banana plant won out over the mango, though Barone’s cheeky little ellipsis at the end of his tweet seems to suggest that the runner-up fruit will make it in as well.

Of course, there’s no timetable for when this new fruit will be added to the game, nor when the next update will be. As readers will recall, “done when it’s done” is Barone’s usual update cadence, with the most recent updates arriving in November 2019 and August 2018 respectively. Still, there’s something for Stardew Valley farmers to look forward to.
