Wanted to add, at mid-tiers this game is super fun. Low tiers are ok but feel a little lacking, high tiers tend to be heavily one-sided as big clan platoons work on their crew skill for clan wars and are often full of bad behavior, but mid-tiers feel just right. Some of my favorite tanks are in the 5-7 tiers (KV-2, Chi-Ri (autoloader!), and so on) and when matched against roughly equal tiers, the games can be very enjoyable to play.

This. The worst part of the game is that in “Random battle”-mode the game matches your stock Tier 7 tank (stock = the top equipment not yet unlocked) versus fully upgraded tanks two tier higher. Good luck against the T9 Conqueror with your T7 Tiger with small gun. :/ Of cause, people will say “You’ll also meet T5 in your T7 Tiger”, which is true. But still it feels dumb to be matched against opponents that are rediculously higher, even if it’s only 30% of all battles.

This is why I personally immensely enjoy the “Frontline”-mode due to it being T8 only. You only face more or less equal opponents.

I agree, I still like to log on a play a few rounds with my Bishop and FV304. While not as trolly as they used to be they are still fun.

I stopped grinding tanks years ago although I did give the French wheeled tanks a go.

I really miss this game but the business model and the gold round system that at least borders on pay to win has turned me away. I had several tier 10s and really like the game overall though.

There are no gold rounds anymore, they were replaced with rounds that cost more credits, you can use them without spending anything on gold.

What imho makes the game really unfair is that Wargaming gives out overpowered tanks as a (unique) reward top players and clans.

Tanks like the Object 279 early that can’t be penetrated frontally by 80% of other T10 tanks (!) and can only be accessed by players that devote their whole life to WoT shouldn’t exist.

As a normal “working person” you can’t ever get a high enough CW ranking unless you decide to pay 300€+ to a “toptier clan” to level your account for you. So basically they take players that are already significantly above average and give them extremly overpowered tanks to make them even better.

Propably a good way to satisfy the “whales” but still hurts the game.

I made year long breaks from WoT but I find myself coming back to this game again and again.

I think I particularly enjoy this title because whilst getting older I more and more notice how my reflexes aren’t the same anymore. I can’t enjoy CS:GO anymore for example due to fact that I’m simply “to slow” and can’t keep up with the youngsters anymore.

Tanks are by nature – well – “slow”. And this means you can be an excellent player by thinking strategically without the need to be extremly fast or perform 600 actions per minute

Yes, this is a good PvP game to play for people who cannot compete in FPS games anymore, you do not have to have fast reflexes.
