If someone asked me if it was worth playing the Secret World, I’d say sure. Just go with The Secret World and not Secret World Legends with its gimped story line and crappy mouse/point of view controls. The story line and world is really well done and immersive and sells you on world.

To bad Funcom is so good at dropping the ball and not coming through with an on going, immersive, complete game world. :/ Also, love those giant moths, darn power slide/charge of theirs. heh.

Listened to this on my [socially distant] walk today. Kept laughing at the discussion about the lack of Star Wars toilets. The part about the Storm Trooper hitting major turbulence and then being sucked into space via decompression on the Deathstar, only to never finish their business. Hilarious!

The whole debacle surrounding Elyria has me super worried about Camelot Unchained. Bri, it was very obvious your frustrations with the project (and MJ) when they randomly announced their side project second game while still not getting CU anywhere near a Beta state, let alone launch.

Actually, I hope to be streaming about that today. We have one last little piece of code to get in and then I do a livestream from my house. Nice timing Siphaed!

And just in case anybody was thinking that it was going to be to announce a delay/layoffs/etc., nope, just about when our folks can jump in the new scenario/classes/etc. we’ve been working on. :)

“Tons and tons of complaints to the Warhington Attorney General” -Bree

Correct, 274 consumer complaints as of today, far ahead of any other businesses in terms of active complaints in that state :)

Thanks guys!

I have “New World Delay” at least 3 MORE TIMES on my card, actually?

Interesting Elyria discussion. I think the key here is whether Kickstarter itself has some liability. They have guidelines which say the project must ask for the full funds for completion. A think a case can be made that even a cursory review by Kickstarter should have shown that there was no way this MMORPG could be made for 900k. Even $8M was far short. If Kickstarter can be held even slightly liable then that opens up the door for significant damages and restitution. It will be interesting to see if any lawyer wants to make that case.

Also- Keep in mind that Kickstarter was just a fraction of the money raised. Most of it (about $6.5M I think)was directly on the website store so Kickstarter’s terms do not apply to those.
