Strap in, buckos.

Were you among those who didn’t join the hot rush to purchase Red Dead Redemption 2 when it first launched? Are you an owner of an Xbox One? Are you subscribed to the Xbox Game Pass service for the console? If you’ve ticked off all three boxes, then your situation has earned you a free copy of the title.

Not only will this get players the full game, it will also include Red Dead Online, the open world multiplayer portion that will be Rockstar’s focus for updates to the game in lieu of single-player DLC. Which is just fine for our little corner of the gaming world.

If you’re a subscriber to the Game Pass service on PC, you’re out of luck, as this is console only. Seeing as the game was released to console first in October 2018 and released to PC in November 2019, perhaps PC Game Pass players will get their free copy of Yeehaw Skyrim in 2021. Otherwise, Xbox owners can mark their calendars for Thursday, May 7th, and pre-download the game right now.
