Titania has butterflies, and Inaros has his Scarab Armor power. In the default mode you cast it on yourself and it converts health into armor. But if you cast it on an enemy, it trades 25% of the stored armor to cast an AoE on the enemy – the target and anything near it flails around with a beetle swarm crawling all over them, which does damage and heals Inaros and anyone near him at the moment he cast it. It can actually work on Defense targets now. And I’m pretty sure hardly anyone even knows that power can do that. o.O

Nidus has the power that creates a fungus patch and spawns the hoppy little “maggots.” Those look kind of like bugs too.

And if you really want to stretch things, Trinity Prime has a skirt that looks a lot like a lobster.

I’m not sure what other kinds of insect theme they could do. I think if they added another “pet caster,” most people would rather it was based on kubrows or a Moa. They could maybe do something with beetles though, if they were about the size of the little Rattel robots the Corpus like to use.

A “Hive” theme was one of the choices for the recent “Players Choose the Next Warframe” thing. It didn’t win though, I guess the voting went for “broken Warframe” instead. Interesting concepts? Why would anyone vote for interesting when they can vote for memes! OnO

What saddens me about the voting is that as far as I can tell the person who suggested the “broken Warframe” idea did intend it as a serious concept, and the concept art with bits of a ‘frame tied together with the same white glowy Orokin vine stuff as we’ve got in the back of our Orbiters seems kinda interesting, but other people decided to make it a meme and vote for it as if it was a meme and keep treating it as a meme ~sigh~

It kind of looks that way. :( The suggester meant it to be serious, the artist did their best to be serious. But since the next phase is the community suggesting powers, people are already trying to turn it into a joke again by giving nothing but nonsense powers. :(

This evening is the most I’ve played Titania in ages – I use her every week for Maroo’s timed jumping puzzle thing to get an Ayatan sculpture, but that’s about it. I really like her aesthetics and concept, but her powers never really grabbed me except in situations where I want to fly around to reach places.

I’d like to see a spider-based ‘frame (apologies to the arachnophobes out there).

I think at one point in her design, Khora was actually going to be spider themed. You can still see bits of it in her looks, especially with her default syandanna (it’s four short little things at her shoulders, and looks a lot like it was going to be a full Arachnos backpack at one point maybe?) But at some point the theme got lost – sort of like Ivara being “poison” themed (dart frog, jellyfish) even though she literally has no toxic powers.
