Finnish startup Dazzle Rocks raises $7M for new mobile ‘social sandbox MMO’

So hey, who wants to hear about a new MMO? It’s a new “social sandbox MMO” from Finnish startup Dazzle Rocks, and it just scored almost $7M in funding from investors. Downside, it’s a mobile MMO, and it seems to be taking the blocky Minecraft voxelbox motif and running with it into a full global MMO for smaller screens. The website is pretty barebones, but here’s the public pitch so far:

“We are making a new kind of sandbox MMO experience for mobile. It’s a social world-building game about exploration, adventure, and collaborating with other players. It’s a real-time game with endless outcomes and the winning strategy is to be yourself. Play, create, and try out the customization options and make our world. The vast environment and its rich and varied landscapes will provide a deep gameplay variety. Our mission is to make games that stay fresh for years with a constant evolution.”

What is the game called? Dunno, but come on, this company is literally called Dazzle Rocks, so we’re figuring it’ll be at least as good as that.
