Players of Blade and Soul have already had to deal with a Steel Uprising, and now that story is due to continue with the launch of Steel Bonds, which is arriving on Wednesday, May 20th.

Steel Bonds, as one might expect, will feature the next part of the Steelbreaker raid where Zinji and Hyon await, as well as pieces of an all-new Kingslayer outfit. Completing the new raid tier will also guide players to new evolution materials to evolve the Thornbreaker weapon to Silversteel, while Wingsong and Lionroar weapons will be available to be upgraded to stages seven through nine.

The update will also bring a Jubilant Jackpot event, where players can get a free cash shop item that can be opened every 24 hours for various rewards. Once players reach the tenth opening, players will get a Lion Cub Pet and an abundance of materials. The announcement page has a chart of guaranteed items as well as items players have a chance of getting.

In other Blade and Soul news, a new mobile game is out in certain Asian territories called Blade and Soul: Revolution, which leans on battles between two factions that can host as many as 500 players. The game also boasts a combo-heavy combat system with joint attacks when playing with others, and promises a grand story with over 150 cutscenes as your character seeks to avenge their father’s death at the hands of Jinsoyun. Killing important familial people is kind of her schtick.

Blade and Soul: Revolution is due to have a global release later, but there is currently no timeline for that right now. Details are expected to follow sometime soon.
