Leave it to Project Gorgon not to stop at merely allowing players to own pets but to breed them as well. The indie MMORPG said that it’s putting the finishing touches on its animal husbandry skill line which will allow players to mix-and-match pets to see what variants can be produced.
“The next update is just a couple weeks away,” the devs said. “Big update! Biggest feature is Animal Husbandry (aka ‘pet breeding’). We’re simulating real-world genetics to give a vast range of possibilities. These wild freeze-wasps are all the same species and level; only their genes differ.”
Another big feature of the update is a user interface upgrade: “Also been working on UI improvements for the next update. Lots of bug fixes, of course, but also new customization options, like the colors for each chat channel.”
A status update: still experimenting with Genetics and Animal Husbandry. I want it to be fun, deep, and understandable… we can do any two of those, but not all three at once!
It's getting there. Just have to spend a few more weeks tinkering and prototyping. (1/3)

But there's other stuff in the next update, too: new content, UI features, some rebalancing. No reason to delay it all on Husbandry. So I'm gonna turn off genetics, finish up the rest of the update, and get it live. Probably Monday.
