When the next module arrives in Neverwinter, you can go to Hell. Specifically, the first layer of the Nine Hells, Avernus, a war-torn wasteland of scraps, rusted iron, and endless battles between devils and demons. It’s not a vacation spot, in other words, and the newest preview is all about familiarizing you with the regions you’ll explore as you do your best to accomplish your goals in this adventure zone. As mentioned, it’s not a pleasant space for hanging out.

Players start out by Fort Knucklebone, a place wherein war vehicles and the soul-powered machines to travel the wastes are repaired perpetually. From there, it’s off to visit such pleasant-sounding destinations as the Stygian Dock, the Scab, and Haruman’s Hill. (That last one sounds fine until you realize Haruman is a corrupted torturer.) It’s not exactly a pleasant tour, but success is mandatory once you’re there, so get familiar with where you have to go before the module’s release in the nebulous realm of “soon.”
