No screenshots yet, obviously.

We still know nothing about what the first project out of Raph Koster’s new studio, Playable Worlds, will actually look like. But we do know that the studio is raising money, and that’s a good sign. A new round of Series A funding has secured an additional $10 million, led by Galaxy Interactive and Bitkraft Esports Ventures. The latter was the lead investor in the studio’s funding round last October, with Koster noting that the support enables the studio to hire more staff and continue onward with the project.

For those of you who don’t recall, Playable Worlds is the aforementioned new studio founded by Star Wars Galaxies and Ultima Online veteran Raph Koster, with $2.7 million raised in initial funding last year in October. The game under development has not yet been officially revealed, but Koster has shared a number of his design goals for the game as development hums along. And with another $10 million in funding, development will continue to hum along indeed.
