With the Avernus module just on the horizon for Neverwinter, it’s time for players to prepare. And if you’re a DPS player, then your preparations perhaps got a bit more interesting thanks to some incoming adjustments to DPS Paragon paths.

The adjustments will first start with the Hellbringer Warlock and Dreadnought Fighter, as they’re the lowest performing classes according to the devs. Specifically, the Hellbringer Warlock is getting the most improvements like double damage on the first hit of Soul Scorch with Double Scorch and faster stacks of Soul Investiture with the Power of the Nine Hells, which will also let the class get more powers to conjure Soul Puppets.

As for the Dreadnought Fighter, changes are being made to ensure it has plenty of at-will powers and encounter powers, while the Weight of Vengeance feat will let the Dreadnought dish out more damage for less vengeance using Anvil of Doom. There’s also some changes coming to the Barbarian, like faster rage generation and adjustments for various skills in the Blademaster and Sentinel paths.

These tweaks will be the first of several, as the devs promise continued improvements to all DPS Paragon paths in order to bring everyone up to the same level. For now, you can read more details about what’s waiting in the wings.
