Inside Star Citizen looks at the Vanduul fleet, shows off AI updates, a new ship, and new locations

I’ve always considered Star Citizen to be the Gran Turismo of internet spaceship games, particularly since the developers at CIG seem to be very detail-minded in making distinct spacecraft with unique characteristics, features, and designs. Case in point: the Vanduul fleet, which is highlighted in the first half of the most recent Inside Star Citizen video.

The showcase looks at a number of particulars that the devs took into consideration when designing the Vanduul Scythe, Glaive, and Blade, including materials, where to put the most armor, and how to make the ships visually tell the story and characteristics of the Vanduul race. It’s a pretty solid cap to the lore shared during Alien Week.

The second half of the video goes into a fresh sprint report, which showcases new AI behaviors when an enemy NPC runs out of ammo, displays some greybox work being done to the Origin 100 ship series that will be added in alpha 3.11, grants another look at fire propagation tech, and shows off early versions of a new foundry deck and the surface of Pyro II.

The weekly information about games progress with specific focus on Aliens ships.

By the way, CIG is not a charity company. By concept, information and marketing are intrinsically linked forever for a commercial company.

Still 45$ for a starter package and ships available with in game credits. Even more flyable ships are now available for credits.

Que Troll Blabbers to come tell us all how $45 for a tech demo is totally worth it & how the game is just mere mnths away from being finished.

P.S. Please don’t add me to your Hit-List.

Mere mnths away? No it is quarters away if you count quarters by pack of 4… and by this time the 45$ pledge won’t have be depreciated because those understanding why free fly weeks are for, joining an alpha with all information in hands do understand it is worth the pledge over time.

Sorry there is no hit-list of individual waiting on the fence because they never join crowdfunded project or alpha of any kind :)
