WRUP: Troubleshooting common snake problems edition

hisss

Problem: Snake does not exist.
Solution: Go buy a snake, you idiot.

Problem: Snake is hissing at me and biting me and has indicated that it requires a proper glass enclosure with a heat lamp, places to curl up, bedding, food, and water.
Solution: Buy those things too, you idiot.

Problem: Snake has asked me to go to the basement where snake has a cask of Amontillado I must try.
Solution: Figure out how you have wronged this snake and make amends. Do not fear the snake, as they are notoriously shoddy masons and a well-place kick will get you free.

Problem: Snake is eight feet tall and covered in fur.
Solution: That’s not a snake, it’s Chewbacca. How are you so bad at snakes?

Problem: Snake desires macaroni instead of mice.
Solution: Make it macaroni. Don’t judge snakes, it’s mean.

Problem: What Are You Playing.
Solution: Snake.

Bonus question: What is your favorite color combination? (Please, limit it to two colors.)

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): I’ll be in Pokemon Sword exploring the new Isle of Armor a bit, as well as taking care of my Animal Crossing villagers because apparently I’m not good enough to them. And probably a little Pokemon Go so I get outside.

Favorite color combo varies. I guess I’ll say blue and black, since I wear those colors often myself and my characters do too when I get to choose.

Ben Griggs (@braxwolf): I’ll probably putter around in The Elder Scrolls Online a bit this weekend. Might take the Bismarck out for a cruise or two in World of Warships. Who knows.

My favorite color combination is black and gold. Both my high school and collegiate alma mater use these colors, as do the New Orleans saints! Who dat?

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I’ve got some restocking in Star Wars Galaxies Legends to do, but I’m also going to tinker with some of the games I got in the Itch.io bundle last week. Not really MMOs, though.

Don’t make me pick just two, Eliot! What I like in art is different from what I like in digital and what I like in my house and what I like on my eyeballs or nails. I’m pretty partial to muted ochre yellows and greys right now overall, but too much even of that and I’m bored.

Carlo Lacsina (@UltraMudkipEX), YouTube): This weekend, I plan on playing more Phantasy Star Online 2. I might get some time in for Black Desert Online’s season server, but after going through that story, I don’t know if I have it in me to do it again!

My favorite color combo used to be black and orange, but then the San Francisco Giants became a thing and everyone started using that color scheme. I stopped using that scheme after it became so mainstream. These days I prefer purple and black. But a good one is also grey and orange.

Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): I find myself swept up a bit in the expansion eagerness of Destiny 2, so I might try to dip my toes back into that pool to see what’s what and hope that not having Shadowkeep won’t impede too much of what I can do. I might also try to work in some hunts in Dauntless and Monster Hunter World. Basically I’ll be looking to do some smaller, quick-hitting gaming this weekend since I am back on my second job and thus no longer have a traditional weekend anymore.

Pink and purple. Just two, bright, fun colors that play well with one another to my eye.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): It’s kind of marking time in Final Fantasy XIV right now as we’re waiting for the patch, but I need to find myself another single-player thing to fill up spare time right now. I have a lot of bundles…

I’ve always been partial to either green and white or green and purple.

Tyler Edwards (blog): A friend gifted me Journey on Steam as an early birthday present, so I’ll probably check that out soon. Maybe with some TESO on the side.

Bonus question: Favourite combination? I never really thought about that. Purple’s my favourite color, but admittedly it doesn’t combo well with much else. Maybe red and gold? I always found that color scheme very striking on the Blood Elves in Warcraft.

Pierre, patron: My WRUP is extremely simple this weekend: I will dedicate my spare time to the discovery of a game I’ve been hyped and waiting for since the first reveal trailer (best trailer ever) in December 2016: The Last of Us Part II. It is so rare to have such a masterpiece become reality and have the chance to play it, I’m just a kid going to sleep on Christmas Eve (I’ll quote my source; I read that on Anne Munition’s twitter but it fits my own feeling so well). Neil Druckmann and his team at Naughty Dog are magicians and I cannot wait to be amazed again, like I was playing part I. So no MMO for me this weekend, even if I’m still playing Final Fantasy XI frequently, these days.

As for the bonus question: navy blue and pale yellow is a cool combination of colors, probably my favorite. And you MOP readers, WRUP to this weekend?
