Star Wars Squadrons does look pretty cool. If it’s good I may pick it up but not going to lie, Rocket Arena looks more fun to me of the stuff I saw from EA Play, so am more interested in that one.

Star Wars Squadrons feels so weird…

For all intents and purposes, it sounds like a very straight forward game. Play the story or load into multiplayer. Earn cosmetics/upgrades for your fighter or pilot avatar.

The end.

But this is EA and no one trusts them to just make a simple, quality $40 game with no tricks.

There have been multiple times this week where I’ve almost pushed that preorder button but… EA is their own worst enemy here.

Luckily none of us have guns pointed at our heads to pre-order this game. Patience is a virtue, and player reviews will start populating the youtubes and the twitches soon enough.

I still play X-wing Alliance and the older X-wing and Tie series of games. So if EA wants me to bite they better have something very impressive.
