RuneScape adds a shadowy Yak Track, celebrates Pride, and offers a word on suspicious account recovery emails

Jagex just can’t seem to stop fussing over Archaeology in RuneScape. This week’s patch notes once again have a number of adjustments to the Skill, along with some basic adjustments and a number of bug fixes. It’s another pretty basic patch update, but it never hurts to keep up-to-date.

This week’s newsletter has some more details on what’s new, such as new Yak to the Shadows Yak Track where players will have to hunt down lore, chat to yaks, and (as always) train skills for a variety of new goodies, a promise of Ancient Familiar updates in next week’s update, and information about the game’s first ever Pride parade which starts at Lumbridge Castle Courtyard, World 23 at 5:00 p.m. game time on Thursday, June 25th.

Finally, both RuneScape and Old School RuneScape have posted a similar message regarding a large amount of account recovery requests, which in turn flooded player inboxes with recovery request emails. While Jagex is confident that no accounts have been compromised, players are still advised to apply two-factor authentication if they haven’t already as well as check their email address for any possible security breach.
