World of Warcraft’s summer sale marks Battle for Azeroth down to $20

The sun is hot, the ice cream is melting all over the car seat, and Blizzard is looking to make a few bucks by hosting a World of Warcraft summer sale.

If you’re among those either really new to World of Warcraft or very late to the Battle for Azeroth scene, then Blizzard has a treat for you. As part of the sale, Blizzard is marking down the expansion from $50 to $20 (of course, you could always wait and hope that the studio will roll BFA into the standard subscription when Shadowlands goes live later this year). The deluxe edition with bonus goodies also got a discount, from $70 down to $30.

As has been pointed out in the comments, at the very least, you’re getting a $20 character boost to level 110, which is something to consider.

There are plenty of other cash shop items on sale here, including a half-dozen half-priced mounts, a small stable of pets, fireworks, and previous expansion digital bonus bundles. This sale is scheduled to conclude on July 19th.

For those interested, it’s worth noting that this promotion includes the return of the Imperial Quillen mount, previously exclusive to the Mists of Pandaria collector’s edition. It’s the first opportunity to acquire this mount in years, and it’s 50% off normal mount pricing.

A relatively SHORT while at that. A handful of months, at the *most*.

well you can just create some more accounts on your Bnet, upgrade them to BfA for 20 bucks and get a level 110 boost.. you can use the boost in any account on your Bnet..

Good point, never thought of that, and yeah, hell of a cheap boost.

No i’m not going multi account, please don’t put idea’s in my head lol :)

Did multi accounts back in EQ2, and boxed sometimes too, i know many in wow that have multiple acccounts but i dunno, in EQ2 i can see the value betweeen 2004 and 2008, now no, and wow not really either, it’s so fast to level and getting faster next xpac too.

Not too long ago you had to buy every expansion, example if you wanted to play wrath you had to buy base, and wrath, but you couldn’t level though bc unless you bought it.

One great thing with EQ2 from launch was all previous expansions and base were grandfathered in.

Thinking about it i feel that most people whom will pop for 20 are not or never have been wow players and are the “meh, only $20 bucks” ok wtf i’ll check it out gamer crowd.

Honestly that’s me. I tried a free trial a few years ago and played through the starter area and that was it. Thought about trying Classic, but never did. So is that all you have to buy is the $20 one here and just sub?

Classics just requires the sub I think.
