Phantasy Star Online 2 is handing out a million XP’s worth of tickets in its latest login campaign

Looking to ease a bit of that Phantasy Star Online 2 XP grind? Then you’ll want to log in every day between now and Wednesday, July 15th, because the game is handing out free XP Tickets, with each one worth 100K XP. On top of that, those who log in five times in between that time frame will get an extra three 100K XP Tickets. That comes to one million free XP, no fighting required.

Of course, the latest update does have a few reasons for players to fight stuff, such as an ARKS Boost Rally for certain quests, free distribution of a new Daily Shop item that triggers Urgent Quests, a new Mission Pass season, and a new Urgent Quest schedule.

I tried, but oi, the aesthetic is just way, way too…Japanese for me.

Since the game is currently unplayable until they do the Steam release or a standalone release, it’s pointless what they do with it.

Man, this game seems to have fallen down the list of must-play games.

The novelty really kind of wears out fast. At the end of the day its F2P system is a bit irritating to deal with. The pacing is also horrendously out of whack to where I hit level 40ish with minimal effort and still had a ton of level 10-20ish content to do. It’s like it’s fun for a little while but then once the novelty wears off it’s just not that fun unless you’re really into the visuals and action.

I don’t know if it was ever destined to be a “must-play” game once hitting the west. It most certainly was an almost “impossible-to-play” game for a bit at the start.

Nevertheless, I’ve been enjoying it daily. But I’m most certainly in the niche for which it is aimed.

It totally did for me…I fell off rather quickly, far more quickly than I expected, for a variety of reasons. I still want to dig in more and get to the endgame and whatnot, but I guess being a month late to the party and then running into some issues with my feelings on some of the game design really took the wind out of the sails for me : /
