Elite: Dangerous fixes an installation issues for fleet carriers that may result in a new crew member

Safe!

Fleet carriers have some bugs in Elite: Dangerous, and the newest patch for the game arriving tomorrow is fixing one of the major bugs that may cause services to be only partly installed. This should now be fixed, though, but you should be on the lookout for a new crew member coming aboard with these fully installed services by the name of Fred Bloggs. Fred himself is harmless and can be moved off the ship just like any crew member, but his presence indicates that fixing the bug has ultimately pushed the fleet carrier in question over capacity.

Fortunately, this is something players can fix by removing services, cancelling purchase orders, or reducing cargo. Until it is fixed, the carrier will display as full and will run into certain issues with purchase orders (since trying to purchase something for a full ship has… well, predictable effects). It’s not the only fix among the many bug fixes with this particular patch, but it is the only bug fix that gives you a helpful harbinger of problems in the form of Fred Bloggs. He seems nice otherwise.
