The next live letter for Final Fantasy XIV isn’t until next week, but the special site for patch 5.3 has already arrived and can delight fans with teases of the content coming on August 11th. The bullet points are things we already know, of course, but it’s interesting to note that the dungeon gear coming out of the Heroes’ Gauntlet is rather clearly inspired by the distinctive robes and masks of the Ascians. Because who doesn’t love some good villain cosplay?
The special site also confirms that the next dungeon will see the Warriors of Darkness fighting across the whole of Norvrandt, making the nature of this gauntlet even more ambiguous as the hour of departure for the Scions of the Seventh Dawn draws near. Check out the site now for some glimpses about what comes next, even if more will need to wait until July 22nd for the next letter… and August 11th for the patch itself.
