Project Gorgon is calling it — the end of beta, that is.
Coupled with a July 16th patch notice was the announcement that the beta phase of the indie fantasy MMORPG has finally come to an end. However, there has been no further talk about leaving early access or an official launch.
Correction: It looks as though the “beta” being referenced wasn’t the game’s beta state, but rather a “Steam beta feature” that the team had been experimenting with these past few weeks. Apologies for the misunderstanding.
The content update that arrived this past week updated Project Gorgon to a new version of the Unity engine, toughened up monsters, made a change to the way combat XP is awarded, and taught pets to walk a little closer to their owners.
The creators also teased a new animal form that players can change into: “It can be found deep in a cave in Kur. We also want to remind players to always take warnings in item descriptions seriously!”
