Betawatch: Fractured and Magic: Legends do the closed alpha dance

Fracking! Yes? No.

You can test if you want to if you’ve gotten an invite. Yes, Fractured kicked off its most recent closed alpha after a delay, and Magic: Legends has been inviting people into its closed alpha. Alpha testing for all! All the people invited, anyhow. That’s what closed alpha means.

In other news… er… other beta news. That one isn’t much of a segue.

And with that… eh,  I’m tired now. Let’s all put our heads down on our desks and take a nap, or take a look at the list of games in testing just below. Let us know if you see anything that should be in a different spot. You know how it goes.

As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions.

Yes, MMO gamers, you too can perform the unpaid quality-control work otherwise known as game testing!
