Final Fantasy XIV kicks off the Moonfire Faire and plans for more Yo-kai Watch crossover fun

Oh, kai.

It feels like just yesterday that Final Fantasy XIV had a major update full of things for players to do… probably because it was just yesterday. But a new in-game event arrives today with the kickoff of the Moonfire Faire, running from now until August 26th. Get yourself some summer beachwear and a new dance. You can also directly buy the rewards from last year’s event from the game’s cash shop if you missed out or just suddenly have a burning desire for them.

But there’s another event on the horizon, and it’s a familiar one but also one with fresh updates. Yes, the crossover with Yo-kai Watch is starting again on August 19th, this time running until the next major patch arrives, allowing players who take part in FATEs to earn minions and themed weapons. You can even earn new weapons for Gunbreaker, Samurai, Red Mage, and Dancer, so if you have an existing collection you have a reason to get out there and take part after all.
