The MOP Up: EVE Echoes racks up one million players

It looks like CCP’s newest mobile game is already a smash hit. According to the studio, EVE Echoes has already crossed one million players — and counting.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that EVE Online is being abandoned. Just the opposite, in fact, if you take a look at all of the patches that have hit the game in August.

City of Heroes reverse engineering project SEGS delivered a short project update: “It’s summer but work is still progressing on SEGS Engine. After working in the C# bindings, we… ended up with something that even Dr. Vahzilok would consider ‘icky.’ So work was done to redo the bindings.”

Two older Japanese friends got into a fight… over Pokémon Go, of all things. Speaking of Niantic, Harry Potter Wizards Unite is hosting an event centered around Diagon Alley.

The makers of Adventure Academy sat down for an interview about the game’s educational element. “The guiding principle of wholesome, inviting, and friendly played a large part in how the team designed the look of Adventure Academy,” they said.

The Steam Game Festival is coming this October: “From October 7th – 13th, check out upcoming releases, try them out with time-limited demos or short playable experiences, connect with the developers behind the games, and add games to your wishlist for a reminder when they release!”

Well, that’s that: Red Dead Redemption 2 is leaving the Xbox Game Pass on September 7th.

Path of Exile shared some more Harvest statistics for you number nerds! “Today we’ll be taking a look at which uniques are most-used by players across different level brackets and game modes, as well as which maps are the most popular, and which areas players are dying in the most!”

Escape from Tarkov is being a little unclear about what is OK and what is not OK for players to share between each other.

This is kind of good news for SEGA fans — the company says that it’s going to aggressively port its titles to the PC.

Lineage 2 Revolution’s August update cranked up the conflict with the all-new Aden Castle Clan War, a fortress siege for all players.

“This week the team discusses how new players will potentially be brought into the game both from an advertising and gameplay perspective,” Prosperous Universe said.

Era of Celestials is throwing a second anniversary bash with plenty of gifts, a six-part event, and a giant birthday cake.
