Crowfall is blowing up in the best way since hitting beta, with guild alliances and new zones on the horizon

Yesterday, Crowfall’s J. Todd Coleman and Thomas Blair sat for their latest ACE Q&A, with happy news for fans of the crowdfunded game that just hit beta in August.

“Last month was the single best month we have ever had for new registrations, new backers, total backer dollars, web views, players coming to the game, uniques daily, uniques monthly – like across the board it was just the most excitement and activity we’ve seen since we did the Kickstarter,” Coleman says.

The duo cover the guild alliance milestone, mounts, optimization, and other stuff hitting the test server this month. There’s also an early look at one of the game’s dungeons (pic shown above). Notably, the game’s zones have been expanded to hold 175 people at a time, with some battles actually hitting that cap. Plus ArtCraft shows off the collector edition box, art book, soundtrack, comic, and miniatures.

“We are very clearly now winnowing […] that list of things that we need for launch, which is really cool. Not to say that we won’t add stuff forever! It’s an MMO. We will add stuff forever. But the list of things that we originally set out to do is very, very quickly dwindling.”

The whole video is almost an hour, so getchaself a snack and dig in.
