Warhammer Online rogue server Return of Reckoning’s second weekend of Twitch drops is about to begin

Funny ol’ world we live in where an MMORPG rogue server is having another round of Twitch goodies dropping on its fans. Warhammer Online emulator Return of Reckoning is hosting a weekend of Twitch drops that will run between Friday, September 4th, at 12:00 p.m. EDT (that’s today!) until Monday, September 7th, at 12:00 p.m. EDT.

Readers will recall that RoR has done this sort of thing before to some apparently strong results, with 2200 accounts linking to Twitch during the first round in order to get that sweet, sweet freebie goodness. This weekend’s Twitch drops event will leverage community feedback for more free stuff, with a promise of higher reward requirements and higher reward value, along with more rewards overall — goodies can be received for watching up to 40 total hours.

Just what sort of things can fans look forward to? Therein lies a little bit of a community hunt: There’s a forum thread that will gradually reveal itself as players encounter a drop, with the devs asking its fans to reply with information on a received reward and an approximate number of hours watched. The devs will slowly unfurl information on that thread as correct (or nearly correct) replies come in, effectively granting the RoR community a chance to help those who miss one of the early days of broadcasts to plan the number of hours to set aside for a wanted reward.
