Minecraft Dungeons releases a frost-filled new DLC and a ‘Hero Edition’ for Nintendo Switch

We’re only in the early vestiges of autumn in our part of the hemisphere, but in the co-op roguelike world of Minecraft Dungeons, it’s already Creeping Winter. Or at least it is with the launch of the latest DLC.

Creeping Winter, as the title suggests, adds some frosty new mobs, some new ice-related items, and some new missions. There’s also a new free update that adds camp features like new villager merchants and a blacksmith that upgrades items, and grants all players two Daily Trials plus an extra Trial for each DLC that players own.

To that point, there’s now a Hero Edition upgrade that players can purchase to get Creeping Winter and July’s Jungle Awakens DLC. There’s also been a Hero Edition of the game released for Nintendo Switch, which packs those same two DLCs and a bundle of unique cosmetics. So, basically, there’s more boxy dungeons to plumb now.
