The name “ultimate quest” brings all sorts of possibilities to mind, like having to bring items to an NPC who in turn wants you to bring something else to another NPC for two full years, or driving a normal field monster to extinction, or something. They’re actually just a particular sort of quest in Phantasy Star Online 2, though; specifically, they involve traveling through Corrupted Regions, filled with enemies marked as “tainted” that generally make the environment and creatures far more deadly than they would otherwise be. So go clear some of them for this event!
The event is specifically asking players to take on the quest to investigate Amduskia, with special incentives for players who complete the quest three times or five times. In turn, the quest is also providing an extra helping of loot, so walking through a corrupted wonderland (or slicing through it, whichever) will be more rewarding than normal. So get in there and complete some ultimate questing for a larger reward. Which didactically would make it penultimate questing, but let’s not quibble.
