Neverwinter rolls out Redeemed Citadel milestone II, plus mount overhaul and newbie leveling
PC players are due for a hefty patch in Neverwinter today, as the second chunk of the Redeemed Citadel campaign goes live, bringing with it the standard difficulty mode of Zariel Challenge. The first “milestone” for the campaign went live about a month ago, and we’re expecting two more after that; completing all four will ultimately unlock the Aasimar race for play.

“Milestone II will include a new server progress goal as with the previous milestone, and a new leaderboard. While most of the content in milestone II will become available after the server progress goal is reached, right away you’ll be able to purchase weapons of the blessed blade from the Zariel’s favor vendor for 10,000 Zariel’s favor. Whether you’re gearing up an alt characters, or you missed out on them during milestone I, you can safely farm for the weapons at your own pace going forward.”

Notably, this patch is also the one set to tweak the lowbie leveling experience and overhaul mounts, chiefly by reducing prices, adding collars, and changing how mounts are upgraded and decked out. Check out the patch notes for the details.

Btw. What the hell did they do with this game.

Like, the mounts being early are great, don’t get me wrong. I love it. I also like they cut a lot of the bs from leveling zones but…the new character progression is so…lacking. You get what now, 6 Encounter powers? Can this MMO even be called DnD-esque now?

Just logged in and there is no such mount pack to claim. I think we have been bamboozled, hoodwinked even… LOL

Oh, I guess this went live yesterday? CONVENIENT TIMING!

Just came back for shits and giggles and noticed there was some new leveling experience as I’m starting a new character (RIP old level 15 cleric). Wasn’t sure when that update happened but I guess just yesterday, and so far it’s pretty good. Feels like less busywork at low levels for better or worse, lowbie damage is amped WAY up, and you get a horse like ASAP.

Discovered you can heal as a warlock so I’ll try that out. Kinda not in love with any of the MMO’s I had installed and needed something to half pay attention to while catching up on YT vids and the like, and NW is a pretty solid fit. Surprised to see that it runs much better than STO does on my PC >.>

You just stabbed my heart with truths.
