Blade & Soul previews another round of item and system changes arriving with Cosmic Horizon

As ever seems to be the case with new updates to Blade & Soul, the upcoming Cosmic Horizon update will introduce some more tweaks to the MMO’s items and systems.

This time around, players will be facing some sterner challenges in floors 9-20 of Mushin’s Tower, Outlaw Arena, Circle of Sundering, and Den of the Ancients, all of which have new recommended character levels, HM levels, and attack power levels. The update also talks up a new fishing area, outlines a new PvE legendary bracelet and a new PvP bracelet and glove, and takes a deep dive into the new tier of Talisman arriving with the update. There’s also some new Psyches to loot from several dungeons.

For those who are at the top end of the Blade & Soul gear game, this preview will certainly be worth the look. And speaking of looking at things, the preview stream from yesterday is embedded below.

Putting the pig-tailed excitement that my Lyn army is getting a new class…

…there’s lots of disappointments with this next patch, and not much for those who like myself don’t want to get on any gear ‘n grind treadmill. As in once past HM 15, it takes forever and a dog’s life to get to the next HM level. And there are supposedly 30 of them. And there’s no point in joining LFG in this game when most players have far exceeded HM 15, making your toons be carried in any group situation when it comes to contribution. So in the end, it’s one of those things where I can only play my characters, usually by myself, until the content difficulty doesn’t allow me to play them anymore. And this patch does noting to alleviate that.

Furthermore, while again I appreciate the Lyn getting a new class, but I am not sure why the Yun where left out of this as this class is far more suited to them. This should of been a no brainer for that.

…so kinda a big disappointment all the round.

I don’t disagree. It seems like the are catering to only one type of player. And there are many types out there in BnS. Not everyone is doing the gear grind.

And I love Lyns, but Yuns who are a big part of the story in this game, should get a good look.

Still. I will be back in BnS for my Astro

But I plug along with this game because WoW isn’t really different in this regard. That is, if I don’t play their 3 paths of epeen progression, they don’t care what I think or feel about their game. I’m just not important to them.

That said, and slightly off topic…I’ve always been meaning to ask: Is there an RP community within B&S? I haven’t seen any…not there are not there. Like other players who don’t want anything to with the epeen treadmill, they must be around. But at this point, they seem few and far in between. :(

…either way, I hope to see you ingame again soon. I have lots of things to show you! /bows

Cool! There used to be big RP groups but that was 2 years ago. Not sure what is going on now. I’ll keep my ear on the ground and let you know if I find anything.

I’ll let you know when I’m back. I’m actually going to level from 1 to cap with this new toon, or at least that is my plan. I did it with the Archer and loved it until I got to end game.
